Hello therr.
I'm planning to replace the DIMMs of an ACI fabric leaf switch
What is the safest way to do this. (Ie: shutting down the switch, replacing the DIMMs and bring it again into the fabric) The switch is in VPC group
Regards

Hi there,
To replace a DIMM, you can:
- Bring the leaf switch offline:
Navigate to Fabric --> Inventory --> Fabric Membership --> target leaf --> right click --> Decommission
After the above operation, the leaf will go into Inactive status.
- Wait for 10 minutes.
- Replace the DIMM.
- Bring the leaf switch back online.
Navigate to Fabric --> Inventory --> Fabric Membership --> target leaf --> right click --> Commission
After the above operation, the leaf will go into Active status.
Regarding VPC, you can refer to the steps in the section “Virtual Port Channel Migration" in the following document.
Cheers!
