Hi,
I have a setup for ACI Multipod, I've brought up POD1, and the IPN devices, but there is no link between the IPN device in POD 2 and the spines. I am using 40Gbps twinax cables,an 40Gbps SFP with fiber, either are not comming up.
Any ideas?

Although these configurations are important (DHCP, PIM, MTU, etc), they have no impact on link layer connectivity; therefor, it is unneccessary to go down this path to troubleshoot the link being down.
Could you try the following?
- Plug both ends of the cable into the same IPN. Example: Connect Pod2-IPN Eth1/1 to Pod2-IPN Eth1/2
- Run the same test using the same cable on the spine. Connect the linecard to itself.
In either case do you see the links come up?
Repeat this test on multiple ports and multiple cables if needed. This would help further isolate the issue to a device or a cable.
On the IPN side, you could try setting the link speed to either auto or 40000.

Could you access both devices (IPN-2 and pod-2 spine) and provide the show interface eth x/y output of the interfaces used for the connectivity?
Have you tried testing those same cables between the pod-1 spine and pod-1 IPN to isolate the issue from the cable?

The other SPINE switch in POD 2 is connected to the same IPN device but with fiber SFP, but the same result. I've changed the port/sfp/cable, the ports between the spines and IPN device are not comming up.

But in POD 1 I've configured the spine interface policies, but in POD2 I cannot do that, because in order to do that I have to adopt the devices in POD2, but in order to adopt the devices in POD2 i hava to have the links up, so it's a chicken and the egg problem

Hmm, you might be right, I will test it tomorrow and let you know. I think it could be a problem with the IPN device as the links from the spines to the leafs in POD 2 are up.

Only interfaces Eth1/49 and Eth1/50 are working, interfaces Eth1/50-54 are not.
I'm gonna RMA the box.
