I have a ACI fabric using vAPICs using version 6.0. I now want to upgrade to version 6.1. What file do I need to upload to the vAPIC is it the .OVA or the .ISO.
The .OVA was used to initially build the the VMs so not sure if the vAPIC will even know what to do with the an OVA file but I know the ISO is used for physical APICs. So im not sure what file to use for a vAPIC software upgrade.
Thanks in advanced

Ok so I did this and the correct file was the ISO. So we now know its the ISO that needs to be used. The upgrade itself kinda failed but that's another issue to do with VMware port-channels. Thanks Cisco Community you guys are the best

As per this link, you can use both

Thanks for the reply
This doc says the following
=================================================
You do not directly upgrade the virtual APIC servers. You upgrade the physical APIC as you normally would and the physical APIC then decrypts and sends the upgrade image to the virtual APICs for upgrade.
Use the same Cisco ACI ISO image you would use for an all-physical APIC cluster upgrade or downgrade to upgrade or downgrade your single physical APIC, as described in Upgrading and Downgrading the Cisco APIC and Switch Software.
====================================================================================
so this doc is for the mini ACI that only has one physical APIC and the physical APIC does some magic and send to the vAPICs. What I have is three full blown vAPICs. So this document does give me a hint (i.e use the ISO) but I cant seem to find anything in the cisco docs for a full vAPIC cluster upgrade. Im worried I will brick the fabric!
