Hi everyone,

Please see below for customer requirement and please advise on which of the products will be appropriate.

Specification:

·         Estimated 300 concurrent application users

·         2 application servers seating behind the load balancer, with possibility of additional servers

·         No SPOF on load balancer

·         Based on cisco offering.

Which of the below will be appropriate considering the above?

-          ACE20-MOD-K9

OR

-          ACE4710-1F-K9

what is "No SPOF on load balancer"?

It is possible use both of ACE's (ACE4710 has a bit less power, but it depends on licence but for your request it is ok).

In general it depends on network design. Sometimes is better select module, sometimes standalone box (4710). If there is core switch based on 6500, it is possible thinking about ACE module. If there is no C6500, it is better choose standalone box, but as I told, it depends on network design (and future plans).
