What operating system runs at the CDM, CE & CR ?
(Is a Linux, Unix, Windows2000)
What is the time interval of keepalives that CDM sends to CE´s to maintain the CDN Up and how long is the payload of the packet ?
Thanks for your help

As you can find in this document, it says Cisco Cache software though it does not talk about the underlying OS of the box.

Hi,
The CDM and the CE are talking together via a special protocol, depentend from the configuration the use SODA or MODA to communicate. A keepalive will be send by default every 30 sec.
Hope this helps.

The operating system for the CDM, CE & CR is Linux.
For ACNS 4.2, The routing protocol used by the CEs is called Self-Organizing Distribution Architecture (SODA). Every 3-5 minutes (jittered time interval) each CE will query the CDM for configuration updates.
The size of the payload is dependent upon the number of channels, the number of files, and the number of CEs/CRs configured in the network. This SODA packet is compressed for optimization.
Cheers,
Craig
