Hi,
Is there anyone who have an idea of the maximum number of content rules we can configure on a CSS 11503?
Thanks & Regards

Thanks for your answer.
Is there any official Cisco documentation confirming this number?
Thanks again,

there is actually no limit except the memory required to store the config.

Thanks for your answer,
256MB memory would give us roughly how much content rules?
Thanks again,

there is no data or formula to get the amount of content rules.
We suggest to keep the config less than 10k lines.
A basic content rule requires 5 lines. so, you could have 2000 rules.
But some users have more lines and the CSS works fine.
How many rules do you expect ?
Is it more than 1000 ?
Gilles.

We foresee a situation where it is possible that our clients would require a large number of redirects. It is very possible that the number of rules could exceed 1000 if this is the case.
These are the numbers we have and we are not sure how to estimate the maximum number of content rules configurable on the CSS:
System Resources for 1/1
instaled memory: 256MB
free memory: 120MB
System Resources for 2/1
installed memory: 128MB
free memory: 27MB
current number of rules: 339 (module 2/1)
Do this prevision make sens?
#rule(339) / used mem(101) * total memory(128)
= 430 max # content rules
Or we have to do the calculation with 1/1?
#rule(339) / used mem(136) * total memory(256)
= 638 max # content rules
Note that we have:
3544 lines in the startup-config file
44 dql
11 header field group
165 services
Also can the number of content rules affect the overall CSS performance?
