CSS code updgrade procedure

Hi,

A bit a newbie question. I'm running a few 11501's and 11503's, they're all running the following code:

CSS11503# sh ver

Version: sg0810106 (08.10.1.06)

Flash (Locked): 08.10.1.06

Flash (Operational): 08.10.1.06

Type: PRIMARY

Licensed Cmd Set(s): Standard Feature Set

Can someone point me to a link/doc/procedure on how I go about upgrading to 8.20 code.

Is it a lengthy procedure ?

Are there any gotchas or tip/tricks I should watch out for ?

Thank you,

Manjit

Please use the folloiwng link to upgrade CSS.

I prefer manual upgrade

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/app_ntwk_services/data_center_app_services/c

ss11500series/v8.10/configuration/administration/guide/Upgrade.html#wp1012126

Just in case if upgrade fails then you can recover CSS using the link

Thanks for the links. Can you point where on website I can find the code:

I see some CSS reference in "Application Networking Software" but nothing for the 11501, 503's.

Any ideas ?

On this page, select "Application Networking Software".

On the next page, select "Cisco WebNS (CSS 11500 series)" beneath the heading "Data Center Application Optimization".

On the next page, select "Major, Minor and Maintenance Releases".

On the next page, select "sg0820201.adi-gz".

Then follow the instructions included at the links in the post above.

I also recommend performing a manual upgrade, but you should also perform an automated upgrade to become familiar with this option.
