Hi All,
Can I disable optimization with a peer WAE at a remote site...for eg I have 3 sites, viz HO, Site A & Site B -- all connected to each other over a WAN link. All WAEs( one at each site ) are running in inline mode. I want to disable site B WAE optimization with peer WAE at site A..
Is it possible and if yes how do I do that.
Second question....can I reset the optimized connection from WAE...for eg say 10.10.10.10/24 client at site A is having an optimized connection with server 10.10.20.10/24 at HO..can I reset this particular connection from WAE device so that WAE freshly starts optimization between this client-server.
Thanks & Rgds,

Hi Mukund,
There is no mechanism to disable optimization per peer. However you can achive this by selectively allowing which traffic needs to get optimized. If you do not want traffic between Site B and Site A to get optimized, then you can setup an Interception ACL based on the source and destination that you want to disable optimization for. When you setup this Interception ACL all new connections between the said source and destination will be Pass Through.
As on date there is no such mechanism available from WAE to reset a particular Optimized session. You have to reset the optimized session either on the client or server end.

Mukund,
There is no option to reset current connections other than reload of the device
or reenable the AO. But the request was seen in the past and there are
enhancement requests submitted. You can consider to involve your Cisco account
team to assist with prioritization.
