Enabling SSH from WAAS CM

SK Ameen .

Hi,

We replaced a WAE-474 yesterday. After the installation of the new device, I recovered the running-config for this device from WAAS CM. Unfortunately, SSH service is not enabled  on the new device and at the same time telnet is also disabled. The device is accessible via WAAS CM and not by the CLI.

Can someone provide me  steps for enabling the SSH service on the WAE-474 using the SSH tab of the device via WAAS CM.

Thanks in advance,

Ameen.

Hi Ameen,

You just need to access the proper section in the CM, tick the "enable" option and submit the settings. See the screenshot below for more details.

I hope this helps

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for the info,

The SSH is already enabled for this device as per the settings configured for the device group. But the sh run output doesnot show SSH enabled on the WAE.

output from sh run

Hi Ameen,

In that case, you are probably facing a configuration sync issue between the CM and the device. I would recommend you to open a TAC service request to have it investigated further.

Daniel
