We have a Cisco Nexus 9372PX unit, and we try to insert 8 GLC-T without any success. The interfaces appear as: "is down (Link not connected)".
We get connectivity using two old SFPs of the same model, the only difference that I see is:
Nexus# sh int e1/1 transceiver
Ethernet1/1
transceiver is present
type is 1000base-T
name is CISCO-METHODE
part number is SP7041-R
revision is
serial number is MTC1911015W
nominal bitrate is 1300 MBit/sec
Link length supported for copper is 100 m
cisco id is --
cisco extended id number is 4
Nexus#
Nexus#
Nexus# sh int e1/3 transceiver
Ethernet1/3
transceiver is present
type is 1000base-T
name is CISCO-METHODE
part number is SP7041_Rev_F
revision is F
serial number is MTC134706RS
nominal bitrate is 1300 MBit/sec
Link length supported for copper is 100 m
cisco id is --
cisco extended id number is 4
Nexus#
The first port is the one with the working SFP.
has someone experience a situation like this ?.. any help is very appreaciate.
Greetings

Just for the hell of it, can you try hard coding the speed to 1000.

Thanks for your answer Philip, but already did that test, I put the port speed in 1000 without any success.

I'm thinking you need to either try a newer version of Nexus software, or try RMA'ing one of the SFP's in case you have a dud batch.

Thanks Philip:
The actual NXOS version is: version 6.1(2)I3(3a), and I will try to update it.
The reseller give me another SFP's as result of the RMA requests, but it doesn`t work.

Hello
The switch was update from 6.1(2)I3(3a) to 7.0(3)I2(2b) without any positive change in the sfps operation.
The retailer open a case in cisco tac, no news or solution yet.
Thanks,
Verny

Verny did you ever find a solution to this? Our 9372px is rejecting our new GLC-T's as well and we're on 6.1(2)I3(5)
I noticed the functional GLC-T's I have already plugged into it are running version '04' and the ones we just bought are '03'.
In the attached picture the top one is the new GLC-T we bought (notice it's v03)
Bottom one is the GLC-T that was already in the nexus (notice it's v04)

Once I found on a Cat6800 that SFP replacement causes connectivity loss until all the config is removed from the interface then re-added.
