I'm coping with following problem.
We have about 8 css running in couples of 2 with one active and a second as standby using an ISC.
Active and backup css are separated in 2 computerrooms, css1 is connected to a backbone switch in room 1 which is connected to another backbone switch in room 2 providing te connection to the backup css. By other means no direct conenction between the 2 css is possible without passing the networkinfrastructure.
Each pair of css is using its own dedicated vlan.
All machines tend to have the same problem that the ISC link is dropping down frequently.
The messages reported are :
SYSSOFT-4: ISC link is DOWN
SYSSOFT-4: Enterprise:ISC State Change:DOWN, port-1 fail = None, port-2 fail = No Interface Assigned
SYSSOFT-4: Enterprise:Inter-Switch Communications Lifetick Failure:1/11
SYSSOFT-4: Enterprise:ISC State Change:DOWN, port-1 fail = No Discovery Response, port-2 fail = No Interface Assigned
SYSSOFT-4: Enterprise:ISC State Change:DOWN, port-1 fail = None, port-2 fail = No Interface Assigned
SYSSOFT-4: Enterprise:ISC State Change:UP, port-1 fail = None, port-2 fail = No Interface Assigned
Any ideas or suggestions what the problem may be over here besides not using direct connections.
Regards
HVD.
