Monitor the load balancing activity

Hello Pros,

1.I need to know how to monitor the loadbalancing activity of the CSS configured with 2 servers bounded to the single content rule.

2. I like to trace the client traffic passing thro the VIP to the physical server.

3. Is there any command to check the load balancing.

4. One more thing to know is that how to reset the service kits in show summary command. Now i am only doing it by reboot the device (cold reboot).

5. Is it possible to evenly divide the traffic and pass to the 2 servers (50/50) like MHSRP.

to reset the counter, go in config mode and use the 'zero' command.

The perfect loadbalancing 50/50 might be possible but it really depends on your config.

If you have stickyness configured, then there is no way. Stickyness by its nature usually gives uneven loadbalancing results.

[ie: 2 client: 1 open 10 connection, there other one 1 connection. You end up with a loadbalancing 10/1].

The only thing you can monitor is the stats available with the different show commands. ie: show summary or 'show service ....'

Gilles.

Dear as you said that loadbalancing 50/50 might be possible could u give the steps to go for the 50/50 configuration.I have to do the work saturday.

Waiting for your reply.

Swamy,

as I said, this is possible but it's not related to the config. Are you doing stickyness ?

Share your config first and I'll tell you if you can achieve 50/50.

Gilles.
