Hi,
We have a Cisco Nexus 9300 (VXLAN fabric) connected directly to a Data Port of a Cisco NAM. We have configured a ERSPAN session on both devices but Cisco NAM does not detect ERSPAN traffic on Data Port 1.
Switch configuration
interface Ethernet1/2 --> interface directly connected to NAM
description NAM2420_DataPort1
mtu 9216
no ip redirects
ip address 100.64.15.10/30
ip router ospf UNDERLAY area 0.0.0.0
ip arp 100.64.15.9 6cb2.ae1e.768b --> data port 1 IP address
no shutdown
.
.
.
monitor session 10 type erspan-source
description ERSPAN_NAM
erspan-id 10
vrf default
destination ip 100.64.15.9 --> data port 1 IP address
ip ttl 10
ip dscp 8
source interface port-channel2 both
source interface port-channel100 both
no shut
monitor erspan origin ip-address 100.64.15.10 global --> Eth1/2 IP address
Find attached two screenshots with NAM configuration.
In this scenario, the configured VXLAN does not affect traffic becuase I know ERSPAN does not support VXLAN overlay.
The NAM sees ERSPAN traffic on its Data Port (screenshot "traffic") but we cannot see inside of this encapsulation. It seems that the NAM cannot uncapsulate the traffic.
If you need more information, I will give it to you without problem.
Thanks and regards
