New to WAAS, Where to start?

We have four  Wave 274 devices in our network(which I am new to) and one bit the bullet the other day.  I have extensive routing and switching experience, but I am new to this.   Cisco is shipping out a new device

to replace it.  I plan on just plugging it in and hoping that the dashboard will recognize it and I will be able to configure it.  I also have a backup of this device.  Anyone know of good documentation that will help me out here????   Any thoughts??

Hi Dan,

Here is the documentation to help you.

The WAVE devices are managed by Central manager. The new WAVE will not be recognized by Central Manager automatically as you are repalcing the full unit.

If you are replacing this device, please use either of this process:

Process 1:

Delete device from CM and apply new registtraion on new device.

First delete the device from CM

Then apply these CLI commands on new WAE:

wae#conf t

wae(conf)# cms enable

Process 2:

Apply replaceable option.
