PIX 7.2 (1) upgrade - dispacth unit

Hi,

I have recently upgraded one of our pixes from 6.3 (4) to 7.2(1) the unit is a 515UR with 128MB memory.

However since I have upgraded I have notices that the CPU usage has ramped up contatntly around 25% and sometimes around 40% for a consiserable amount of time.

I have been looking at 'sh proc' and 'sh proc cpu-hog' and I can see that 'dispatch unit' takes up most of the cpu.

Is it possible someone can advise me what this is? Also would you advise a bigger unit?

Thanks

Matt

you're on the wrong forum.

We don't cover pix or security.

This one is for application loadbalancing/caching.

Gilles.

Matt,

even though it's on the wrong forum: you probably have hit a bug. I have the same issue as you with 7.2(1.9) and ASA5520. In Bug Navigator you can find tons of open bugs.

Hope this helps

Regards

/David
