Has anyone else noticed that using a primarySorryServer with service type redirect does not work in 5.x? A redirect is never sent. It worked in 4.01b32.

Often times complex troubleshooting issues are best addressed in an interactive session with one of our trained technical assistance engineers. While other forum users may be able to help, it’s often difficult to do so for this type of issue.

To utilize the resources at our Technical Assistance Center, please visit http://www.cisco.com/tac and to open a case with one of our TAC engineers, visit http://www.cisco.com/tac/caseopen

If anyone else in the forum has some advice, please reply to this thread.

We did notice it .... we are running 5.0008s and it's a NO go. We found that out the hard way .... on a deployment so we didn't get a chance to review, troubleshoot ..... and the likes so we ended up just using the 'no persistent' with the 'primarysorryserver' statements and doing the redirection on the web server. I will look around now that I have a bit of time up my sleeve but if you find out that it IS definitely a bug, .... please post it.

Cheers.

It sounds like you are running into the below bug which was fixed in 5.0 build 25.

Since this build is not on CCO, upgrading to 5.0 build 33 (image name ap0500033.adi) should do the trick.
