Hi,

If we are configuring ACE in HA mode Primary/Standby in that case what would be initial configuration required on secondary unit. Also another question if device is already configured in HA mode and want to add one more vlan interface on primary -how does it configure interface configuration in reverse order auto or manually ? one more related question if the running secondary unit fails what would replacement procedure in terms of configuration.

looking for detailed information.

Thanks in Advance.

Thanks

Ajay

Hi Ajay,

Here are some answers to your questions:

If we are  configuring ACE in HA mode Primary/Standby in that case what would be  initial configuration required on secondary unit.

You would need to configure the FT vlan, FT peer and FT groups. Once this configuration is in there, all the rest can be synchronized automatically

Also another question if device is already configured in HA mode and  want to add one more vlan interface on primary -how does it configure  interface configuration in reverse order auto or manually ?

If you configure the command "peer ip address" under the interface, it will automatically configure it on the standby

one more related question if the running secondary unit fails what would replacement procedure in terms of configuration.

The same as the first question

I hope this helps

Daniel
