I have a one-armed CSS balancing 9 web sites in production & am adding a redundant CSS & a pair of one armed SCA2. The servers currently see the clients addresses. Are there any sample CSS /SCA configs using the transparent local-listen? Is there a restriction requiring each SCA to be on different networks overcome by transpareent local-listen?

if you want the server to continue to see the client ip, you need to put 1 SCA per subnet/vlan.
You then need to add a default route on the CSS pointing to each SCA.
This is to guarantee that the CSS knows where to send the response from the server using the ECMP [prefer ingress] feature.

Gilles.

Gilles,
Thanks. Regarding the SCA's transparent local-listen mode: (can not say i understand it yet) is there any advantage to this mode besides removing 2 lines from each CSS service config:
transparent-cache
no cache-bypass
Thanks again.

Bill
