SFP+ compatibility with SFP

Hi,

I have a Nexus 9396PX switch which supports SFP+ transceiver on its fixed module. I have got GLC-T transceiver. Is GLC-T compatible with 9396PX?

Hi,

The GLC-T transceiver will work and is supported in the SFP+ ports i.e., Ethernet 1/1 to 1/48, but will not work in the 40GE QSFP+ based interfaces.

If you install the GLC-T transceiver you may need to configure speed 1000 under the interface configuration context.

One more thing. I have to configure local SPAN on these nexus switches. Would it be possible to mirror traffic of other module (40GE module) to this specific destination port residing in fixed 48 port module??
