slb and csm vserver idle timeout

Hi,

could one of you tell me what happens when an IOS SLB AND CSM vserver idle timeout is reached for a specific connection ?

Does the SLB or CSM send a TCP reset to the real server and client to terminate the connection...or does it only remove the connection from the connection table on the IOS SLB or the CSM ?

Our connections seems to remain on the server even if the SLB or CSM timed out....

Regards

Michel

if you reached the idle timeout, the session should simply be removed from cache. No reset is being sent.

The next packet will be treated is if it was a new connection and if this is not a SYN it should trigger a RESET.

Gilles.
