SMB or CIFS ver 5.1

Wanted to see if people have done testing on this.

I need to get files accross the US and accross the world. we have some 250ms delay times. Wanted to know what works best using windows file transfer

between SMB or CIFS method.

Use smb if you are dealing with windows 2008 servers only (SMB2), use CIFS if you need to handle older versions. Use appnav with 2 waves if you need both :(

That should be "windows 2008 server (or higher) with windows 7 client (or higher)" I think.
