unable to ping vip on ACE ,in routed mode

Configured ACE in routed mode ,and have the vlan ,route-map defined on th switch.

Able to ping the server vlan ,and servers from the ACE ,but unable to ping the vip from ACE ,but able to ping the gateway for the client vlan.

From the Switch I am able to ping the vip , but  not from ACE or from my PC.

Hi,

This is an expected behaviour.
We don't allow ping to VIP within ACE but you should be able to ping from switch or
from client.

How come I am unable to ping from my machine ,as I get request timed out ,using my PC to test the vip ,but getting request timed out

Can you please let me know ,whether my configuration on the switch and the ACE is correct ,I mean access-list ,route-map statements on the switch and

the default route on ACE.

Hi,

You said the ping from switch to ACE works. So check if you are able to ping the switch from your PC. I suspect there is some routing issue which can be resolved by further troubleshooting in the network.
