Upgrade on 11800 failed VRRP

Upgraded Webns on 11800 from ap0500311s to ap0500510s. The virtual routers on all CSS's were down. As soon as we restored the switches back to WebNS ap0500311s, pings to VRRP addresses were working (as they were before the upgrade), & virtual router states returned to Master/Backup.

Is there any bug in Webns ap0500510s that fails VRRP?

do you have the output of the command you type to see the status of VRRP ?

Are you using any critical service ?

Was it up after the upgrade ?

I believe that more info is required to do an analysis of the problem.

Regards,

Gilles.

Unfortunately i don't have the output of show virtual-routers but the vrrp state was down after the upgrade. Under circuit VLAN we have configured "ip redundant-interface 1 10.161.35.7 "ip critical-service 1 vrrp-kal" and under service vrrp-kal

ip address 10.161.36.4

keepalive maxfailure 2

keepalive retryperiod 3

keepalive frequency 3

keepalive type script ap-kal-pinglist "10.161.34.5 10.161.36.1 10.161.38.7 10.161.48.129"

did you check if the critical service was alive ?

After the upgrade, some mac addresses may have changed and arp table of CSS neighbor was not reflecting the new info.

I would suggested you to do the upgrade again.

Clear the arp on the neighbors.

Check if critical service is alive.

Make sure you can ping aroud.

Gilles.
