We have a pair of ACE modules in our service switches. They are ACE10-6500-K9. Currently they are running software version A2(2.4). After experiencing a SRAM Parity Error, TAC recommended upgrading the software to A2(3.3) or higher.
My question is, can I upgrade these modules to A4(1.x) or A4(2.x)? If so, is there any value to making this upgrade? Also, would I have to walk this upgrade? Meaning upgrade to A2(3.3) and then upgrade to A4(1.x).
thanks,
John

Hi John,
Version 4.X will be supported only on the new hardware version ACE30, please take a look at this link:
Actually to my surprise ACE10/ACE20 have already an EOL/EOS date published on these documents:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/modules/ps2706/end_of_life_c51-674428.html
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/modules/ps2706/end_of_life_c51-674430.html
You will need to upgrade to A2(3.X) meanwhile or contact your sales team if you want to migrate your ACE equipment.

Thanks Pablo.
I did know that the ACE10 was EOL. Just wasn't sure of how far I can go with upgrading its software.
thanks,
John
