We have two CSS 11150s running ap0500066s and working fine. As part of a project, I need to get another CSS onto the network and working before I take down one of the original CSSs. The third CSS now has the new config on it but the software level is ap10500099s. For political reasons we cannot upgrade these boxes to get them all on the same level, although I will recommend that they are all upgraded post project. I need to get a version of 0500066s to put on my third box.
My plan is to connect to one of the existing CSSs and FTP into it. Then I guess I FTP get the 0500066s software to the FTP server and from there FTP put it onto the third box ..still with me?????
Question 1.
Will this work?
Question 2
Can I get Cisco to put a copy of ap0500066s up on a site so that I can just download it in zipped form?
I know everyone is going to tell me to upgrade to the latest version but these boxes are working at the moment, my job (on this project) is just to move them, the PM will not allow upgrades as part of the deal. As I said, I will strongly recommend that they move to a version that supports TACACs after this move.

you can't get the CSS image from the CSS itself.
So option 1 is not possible.
For option 2, you need to open a case with the TAC and they will provide you with the image that you need if it is still available.

Gilles,
Thanks for that, I had a feeling this wasn't going to be as simple as that....
What a great resource this forum is, you just saved me a day of frustration.
Thanks.
