Hi..

one of customer want evidence that ISR4451 only support vWAAS with maximum 6000 TCP connections on the Cisco UCS E-Series. i have already showed them this document :

- also this, even this is not from cisco official : Cisco 4451-X ISR’s Main Questions

still they need official evidence from cisco, that how many vWAAS maximum connection supported on cisco ISR4451. is there any official document answering the question?

Many thanks.

The first PDF is "official".

What is the customers actual concern?  Do they need more than 6000 connections, or are they worried about about the 4451 being too "big"?

they need more, 12000 conection on ISR4451 , but they will agree to 6000 which i have configured already on ccw , if there cisco document or official cisco guy  saying that certain value is Vwaas maximum Connection on Cisco ISR4451, let say 6k or other number.

yes, the first pdf is official, but it is not clearly saying that how many connection for the maximum on ISR4451.

i hope someone from cisco here will comment with clear statement or share some documents which has evidence.

thanks for your response philip, really appreciate.

It may be cheaper to put in a dedicated UCS server and run WAAS on that.

Hi,

In this case you need to discuss with your customer and open a case with PDI team which can provide you more details regarding your customer requirements for current state and future needs.

They can do a sizing study and provide you a better feedback.

Here you have some useful links which you can check:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/app_ntwk_services/waas/waas/vwaas/guide/vwaas-config/vwaas-chap1-intro.html#pgfId-1055691

This is the one for the PDI team: https://www.cisco.com/web/partners/tools/helponline/pdi/index.html

Don´t forget to score the answers!

actually  customer already have their hardware config for certain site, this case, which i configured on CCW are :

Cisco 4451 - 1 x UCS-E 180D M2 - vWAAS (12k)  > customer reequirements

the thing is , on ccw i only can configure this SKU for above configuration :

WAAS-RTU-2500U6K Upgrade 2500 WAAS connection RTU to 6000 connection RTU

with only qty 1 allowed. in my understanding it will be only 6000 connection allowed, customer want it to be 12k connection.

unless stated in official document these config has only 6k connection limitation or any number, customer will accept..

My question is still the same, is these configuration only capable to do 6k connection or capable to do 12k connection? plus official documents stated so.

thanks, really appreciate to all responses.

I've been looking at this for a while.  The 4451 looks like it supports a maximum of 6,000 connections to me.  Once you step up to an ASR 1k you can get 12,000 connections with FLASR1-AX-VWAAS12K.

You can search this document for FLASR1-AX-VWAAS12K.
