Waas and Citrix Optimization

According to the foollowing article "Cisco will deliver a new release of Cisco Wide Area Application Services™ (WAAS) optimized for Citrix XenDesktop and Citrix HDX technology in the fourth quarter of this year". Does anyone know if this realse will be available in older WAAS devices etc. WAE512-612-7341 & WAVE574-674 or it will be available only in newer devices like WAVE594-694 & WAVE-7541-7571-8541? Also this version will be a major upgrade so and new version 5.x.x ?

Hi 

Citrix AO support is in the release 4.5.1 and not 5.x For more on the Citrix AO refer to the FAQ below

The 4.5 release will support the same hardware supported in the 4.4.x releases.

This was supposed to be release in Q4 '11 but I don't see it available in downloads.  Anyone know when 4.5.1 will be available?

Waas 4.5.x code should be out pretty soon, can't provide any exact dates though. You probably want to contact your Cisco Sales team to get more details on release dates.

4.5.1 has been available for some time now for current WAAS customers.   Contact your account team to get the latest release.    You can also obtain it through the PDI help desk -- www.cisco.com/go/pdi.
