WAAS CIFS enabled but Shutdown-- cannot clear.

I first became aware of a problem because a preposition was failing to one site, not even starting

then on the WAE (sr910 on 3945) running 5.1.1h see this

'show acc cifs

Accelerator     Licensed        Config State    Operational State
-----------              --------          ------------           -----------------
cifs                     Yes             Enabled               Shutdown

AS per other posts:  cleared the licenses, and added them again, this seemed to put the WAE in a bad state,

So from the router did a

Service-module sm1/0 shutdown then a reload, then booted up ok

but when back online cifs still in the same state as above.

the funny thing is when I look the traffic summary on the central manager for that Wae, it sees Cifs traffic still being optimized

but I guess that must be using other algorithms

I have even downloaded the 5.1.1h code to the wae and reloaded made no difference.

Any ideas??

Hi,

is SMB AO enabled ? CIFS and SMB are mutually exclusive.

no SMB is disabled, that was one of the first things I checked
