WAAS not accelerating any more (VMware View Client 1.5.0-71049)

Hi all,

we are running our VDI Infrastructure with WAAS acceleration since a few years.

Central:

Type:	WAE (Application Accelerator)
Software Version:	4.4.5
Model:	WAE-674-K9

Remote:

Type:	WAE (Application Accelerator)
Software Version:	4.4.5
Model:	WAVE-274-K9

RDP acceleration was always between 60 and 80 percent.

Since Updating our Clients an Igel UD3-420LX  from 4.05.100.1 to 4.10.100.1 which includes also new VMware View Client.( Update from 4.5.0-293049 to 1.5.0-710491) the WASS does not accelereate any more VDI (RDP) traffic.

Any Ideas or workarounds?

i think it is probably the encryption and we need to make some registry changes in the client. I am sure there is a document from cisco about this issue.

Note: the acceleration works with VmWare View Client 4.5.0-293049. After upgrade it does not work any more.

We have one Client not upgraded yet. The Traffic of this client is accelerated succesfull.

Any ideas?

I have seen this for citrix when the client terminal was upgraded. We decomissioned our VM infrastructure as our server team moved to another vendor so not much knowledge on that. If you have a lab and a test waas just upgrade the firmware to 4.4.5c and see if it makes any difference.
