WAE without CM

Sir,

We have two WAEs registered with CM already and optimizing traffic. Now, after some routing change, one of the WAE cannot access the CM anymore. Will it keep on optimizing traffic without accessing the CM?

Thanks

Hi Joseph,

Even though you can perform some of this below from the CLI, it would be difficult to :

  • Monitor and maintain the WAAS system
  • deploy or change policies etc.

If your running with certificates or secure store, it would be almost impossible,

So I really suggest that you change the routing or get the problem fixed otherwise.

Hi Joseph,

Yes, if the two accellerators both still are in the data path, optimization will continue.

If you can telnet/ssh into the WAAS units, issue "show statistics conn" to verify.

Thanks Finn.

Do you know what will be the impact for the WAAS units that cannot access the central manager any more?

Thanks.

Joseph
