WCCP Router-Id Choice

Hi,

I wonder how an IOS router chooses WCCP Router-Id. I didn't find any information regarding this question.

We have configured 2 router with same IP Address on Loopback 0, and router chooses this IP Add as WCCP Router-ID. Cahces reports error in log because the saw 2 different routers with same Router-Id.

I believe WCCP uses the same RID selection process as OSPF/BGP:

"The router ID is the highest IP address or the highest ip address among loopback addresses (if one is configured) on the Cisco router ..."
