Yes, bmc remedy is a vendor neutral product. They are also a Cisco partner http://www.bmc.com/partners/find-partner/strategic-alliances/cisco-partnership.html. I am not familiar with their framework but I do know it is possible to integrate with Jabber and use it with their IT solutions product Remedy. You would need to work with bmc to help you find the correct solution to match your requirements.
