IM and Presents SDK - IM Demo not working as expected.

Hello,

 

I am using the demo called basic-chat-demo v2014.04....can't find the link for it now, but it does work, I am able to connect and I am able to send and receive messages via the demo, but when I send a message to someone, I am expecting the message to appear in Cisco Jabber Windows / Mac Application, but they do not. I am not able to send messages to a user and for the user to receive messages in the Application? Or does the IM SDK only work in the SDK?

Are you sending IMs to users on the same domain as the basic-chat-demo?  If not, you need to configure Cisco IM&P to enable XMPP federation, so that it can find and send messages to people outside the default domain.
