IP Phone XML : Content Type / 8800 Differences

Is there any errata for the 8800 series phones that explains differences in how the XML applications work? There are a couple, but, particularly it looks like requests served from the 8800 series are type text/xml, and the 7900 series are x-CiscoIPPhoneText .

The 8800 series seems to also launch a browser applet for the idle URL regardless of if anything will be rendered, which leaks memory eventually - there doesn't seem to be any way to have it not open the applet window into the UI unless content is rendered, like the 7900.

The 7900 I've been testing (7960) also fails when I run an IPPhoneExecute with, for example, a Play call and then a URL - the phone will actually request the URL but then just display an XML Parse Error . Calling the page directly is fine, and the 8800 doesn't have this same issue.

Makes using this avenue a bit frustrating.
