I've attached a trace document of a JTAPI event in which the DeviceUID name has been truncated. It is not displaying the whole name. Is there a max character length?

15 is the max length for a device name.

So even though the analog gateway name is longer in CUCM it will be truncated to 15 characters in the jtapi event?

Is there anyway to have the DeviceUID have its full name without being truncated?

I'm referring to the analog interface AALN/S0/SU0/0@domain-name. When you are creating the interface, it doesn't limit you to the number of characters.

Currently only the first 15 characters are used though the admin may not limit it to 15. Do you have more than 1 trunk in the system? If your app needs to know which trunk./gateway is used in the call, you have to configure the gateway with a unique name in the first 15 characters. If you are trying to find out if the call is going out side the cluster, addressType should suffice.

Mohan. If the device name gateway information comes from the FXO port and the domain-name, how can you make the name unique?
