HW-module reset recovered blade, but what is the recommended long term strategy? RMA or Wait for Bugfix?

Try any Latest IOS XE see if that fix the issue, or as suggested, reload slot can resolve for some time, but the problem may come back again.
I do not believe any hardware issue here, this is more of software bug i guess,

Workaround:
unknown but possible workaround is reseating the linecard.
