CSCva38134 - PI 3.1 need support for SSL SMTP

I am having the same issue, in version PI 3.5.1

The mail server requires STARTTLS (TLSv1.2) and authentication because of security reasons.
But because it is not possible to set this in Prime, I cannot use the email feature.

Will Cisco update the email feature?

Found my own answer in release notes from PI 3.6
Going to check what impact this version has.
Will report back if this indeed was the missing option.

Under Mail and Notification > Mail Server Configuration - A new check box, Enable TLS, is added to allow users to transfer data through an encrypted connection.
