Just an FYI:  We get this same warning on 3.5(2e)

it happens us with IMP version 11.5(1)SU2we think to make reboot for the subcluster servers. 

I also got this error while having custom NAP policy in subdomain. It is not related only to global domain. After deleting the NAP from sudobmain, the upgrade was successful.

As a workaround perl script may me used in crontab.It logins to ASR, get list of all "stale" sessions and do "clear sss session" for each of them. https://pastebin.com/9L6DpsVc
