CSCvc24922 - what is the content?

Hi All

I'm probably affected by the bug CSCvc24922.

It's listed in the following Prime Infrastructure 3.1.5 (and maybe older versions) release notes:

Could anybody post the details please?

Here is what I could find:

Symptom:
Background jobs are not executing after restart of services

Conditions:
PI 3.1

Workaround:
The workaround is to run a few DB scripts that will help cleanup those entries.Please contact the Tac team before applying the workaround.


This work around for jobs gets stuck in scheduled state (and running for continuously after restart of pi)

1.Stop/pause the affected job from the job dashboard page.
2.From CLI in root mode execute the following command.
/opt/CSCOlumos/bin/sql_execution.sh "delete from QRTZ_JOB_DETAILS where job_NAME like '%Lightweight AP Operational Status%'";
3.Resume the job from job dashboard page.

Fix is included in the patch 3.1.5. This patch was released on 31st/Jan/2017.

Oh this is interesting, because on my installation the issue also appeared after updating to 3.1.5 two weeks ago.

Now that you mention it.

In the release notes to 3.1.5 this one is listed under the open caveats. So either the release notes are wrong or the entry in the bug tracker.

Regret inconvenience caused. The patch 1 for 3.1.5 is expected to have the fix for CSCvc24922. Working on finding the ETA for this release. As soon as I have the confirmation, I will update on this post.

PI MR 3.1.5 update 1 should be released next week, if not tomorrow. Be on the lookout.

So far no update.

I installed DP9 yesterday though and since the installation I can't get the schedule anymore to work at all for some Wireless tasks. Not even pausing and resuming helps anymore, very weird. I hope the update is soon released.

Just noticed in the download portal that a patch 01 is released.

Installed patch 1, issue sadly remains. Going to open a TAC now, I guess database cleanup is needed.
