c9300 DNA subscriptions

Hi,

My question is regarding Cisco Catalyst 9300. I have configured DNA advantage (C9300-DNA-A-24 and C1A1TCAT93001-3Y ) with Three years subscriptions. I dont want to use any cloud service, I need just normal switching. Layer 2 and layer 3 capabilities.

My question is After three years what will happen? Would i able to reconfigure the switch? As per cisco documentation advantage is equal to IP services, Would i able to change the configurations of switch after three years?

is it must to get subscriptions for switch after three years?

Please see Table 8 in the Catalyst 9300 data sheet,

Features listed under "Network Essentials" or "Network Advantage" will work for the lifetime of the switch and do not require an active subscription.

It is not must to get subscriptions, but recommended as you are going with advantage option . If you have purchased advantage option you get 90 day eval license by default . After the expiry of your license - 3 years , it is not mandatory to get add on features to get switching features.

You can change the switching features if you want  .

Could you please send the link of document which you have gone through to check advantage is equal to IP services ,so we can also get to know more on your query .

Are Cisco forcing customers into purchasing DNA with a switch or can you opt to not buy it when getting your hardware.

The switch will continue to function, however the customers, will not be entitled to receive updates/upgrades for the functionality in the DNA stack

Customers must renew their subscription to continue to get access to the DNA innovation. L2/L3 services will continue working , and customers are entitled to receive updates/upgrades for this functionality.
