Configuration Archive - NCFS10080 - location is not empty

Hi,

I am trying to setup an external configuration archive server.

I have followed the steps on the Cisco guide.

When I submit my config on the web gui I get the below:

NCFS10080: The root location /data/sftp on external server x.x.x.x is not empty. Please delete the files before adding this external location.

I have checked the directory on the ubuntu side, and there is nothing in there:
user@server:~$ cd /data/sftp
user@server:/data/sftp$ ls -ltr
total 0

Not sure if this is a bug or issue on server side etc. Any suggestions?

Cheers

  • What is Release Version of the Cisco Catalyst Center?
  • Verify the "user" has the correct permissions to root location /data/sftp?
  • Create a folder "/data/sftp/configarchive" and use this as root location. Make sure this new directory has the correct permissions.
  • Configure or Edit the existing host configuration to use the new root location.

Do you get the same error?

Thank you very much, by creating the new sub directory and adding "sudo chown dna-conf-backup:sftpusers sftp/configarchive/" I was able to set it up successfully

Quick follow-up.. the job has run successfully, but no files / folders in the target dest, does it just take a while to populate?
