deploy command to cisco devices using cisco DNA

Hi,

I am trying to deploy tacacs authentication onto our cisco fleet of switches. I have followed the guide in Cisco DNA, I have created a template using this link

1. Create a Regular Template, then template editor and used velocity, then template simulation (no errors)

2. then I associated the template to network profile Associate Templates to Network Profiles

tried Day-N provisioning but after going to provision, network devices > Invetory, after choosing a site, I dont see the avanced configuration window. it just puts the device onto the site..

I did notice that the Device Controllability disabled, does that need to be enabled for the advanced configuration window to show?

thanks

 Yes, it should be.

"When device controllability is disabled, Cisco DNA Center does not configure any of the preceding credentials or features on devices while running discovery or when the devices are assigned to a site. "

I have enabled controllability and am now trying to deploy the template but I cant seem to attach the template I created, in provision devices, after I have assigned the site, in advanced configuration, "DEVICES HAVING NO TEMPLATE" and my selected device is grayed out. What am I missing here? thanks

do I need to upgrade to release 2.3.5.x? latest one is 2.3.7.6 as far as I can tell

I believe CLI template exist in all versions. Which version do you have?

2.3.3, I can see the latest is version 2.3.7.6, how complicated is it to upgrade to the most recent version?

Is there an alternate way to send some config commands to the fleet without enabling device controllability?
