I'm testing the fabric zoning feature. I have no zones currently created and when I designate a floor in my site as a zone as exected nothing is pushed out to the actual edge/border as a zone is a DNAC construct. When I look at the VN I see for that zone it has inherited all the Anycast gateways/L2VN's from global which is as I want. Nothing deleted.
When I then go into the zone to remove some Anycast gateways as a test it presents a tick box saying
"Use Border/CP Node for this site to be common for the Virtual Network"
Does anyone know exactly what this does ? If I tick the box it says
"Please delete all pools before enabling this site's Border/Control Plane node as the common border"
Clearly I don't want to delete all my pools or my users will be pretty upset.
So I have deployed the config with some Anycast gateways removed but the box unticked. All seems as I want it. Some zones get one set of Anycast gateways and some get others.
However I'm confused as to the function of the "Use Border/CP Node for this site to be common for the Virtual Network" tick box.
Any comments welcome.
