Hello community,
we have some Cisco Catalyst 4506-E Switches with Sup 7 and Sup 8.
There are different recommended images for these two types.
Sup7: cat4500e-universalk9.SPA.03.08.07.E.152-4.E7.bin
Sup8: cat4500es8-universalk9.SPA.03.08.07.E.152-4.E7.bin
The DNA Center does not differentiate between these two sups in the image repository. So that means that I can only create a golden image for both types of supervisors, which of course is not desired.
Do you have any solution for this? I first thought I could distinguish the switches on the Role, but here there are only the areas of access, distribution and so on.
Best regards,
Johannes

I have just learned that the 4500E Sup7 is not supported by the DNA Center. Only 4500E Series Switches (Supervisor Engine 8-E, 9-E) are supported with IOS XE 3.10.2E in combination with DNA 1.2.10
But maybe someone still has an idea how I can regroup the switches?

Hi Johannes,
It depends on what you're trying to accomplish. If you want too add Sup7E / 7LE to inventory and do assurance/SWIM/Topology then then is fine: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/cloud-systems-management/dna-center/products-device-support-tables-list.html
Cisco SD-Access on S7E/S7LE however will never be possible.
