Lost 2 switches in stack after DNAC software activation

Hi All,

When upgrading a stack of 3 switches, after succesfull distribution , DNAC reported failed activation due to no response.

The master was upgraded to the target IOS version and reachable, but the 2 other switches in the stack were stuck in ROMmon.

Does anybody have an idea what may have happened and how to check this?

Thank you in advance

IF the two switches are in ROMMON, can you post the complete output to the command "dir flash:"?

The switches are already recovered , so i am not able to provide any output.
i assume that something went wrong with the boot markers in the packages.conf file on the 2 lost switches because there were reference in the log to very old ios versions that were not present anymore.

Are there any cases where the packages.conf is not properly synced between stack members during DNAC software activation?

Did anybody else run into this?

Thank you

I had several 9500 fail to upgrade.  Several of them did not have any firmware files (both BIN and PKG) but none of them rebooted.

This is the first I have heard of switch members booting into ROMMON.
