Upgrade Firmware on Cisco Catalyst C9500 16X Switch Stack x 2

I would like to upgrade firmware on switch C9500-16X From version IOSXE-16.9.4 to IOSXE-17.17.1. Will there be any issues for this big jump or should be fine? Please advise if any recommended upgrade steps needs to be followed. Thanks

Hello Kavish,

Please upgrade from 16.9.4 to 17.3.X with disruptive mode.
Once you have 17.3.X you can directly go 17.17.x with disruptive mode.
if you want to go with ISSU, please follow below link for ISSU Support between Releases
I have tested 17.12.5. is stable realase.
if you are going for ISSU upgrade, please remove "snmp-server enable traps smart-license" command line from SNMP configuration, if it is configured.

I would never recommend anyone upgrade to a single-release train, like 17.6.1 or 17.7.1.
