See what's new in the April 17 release:

  • Added support for Media Access Control Security (MACsec) along with the MACsec Key Agreement (MKA) protocol on Cisco UCS 6400 Series and 6500 Series Fabric Interconnects. This enhancement provides secure communication over Ethernet links. For more information, see the MACsec Policy section in Domain Policies.

  • Added the ability to deploy only the modified policies along with any dependent policies during a server profile deployment. This allows for faster profile updates without disrupting existing configurations. For more information, see the Deploying and Activating a Server Profile section under Server Profiles.

  • Added the AssetTargetDisconnectedBackoffDC alarm that is raised when a target connection status is flapping. This will cause the target to wait for some time before trying again to connect. For more information on troubleshooting, see Configuring Device Connector.

  • Added the ability to manage notifications for flapping alarms, enabling you to focus on the alarms that are critical. This feature applies to alarms from Intersight Managed Mode servers. For more information, see the Notifications for Flapping Alarms section in Alarms.

  • Added the ability to launch Command Line Interface (CLI) for Fabric Interconnects in Intersight Managed Mode domains directly from Cisco Intersight. This feature enables you to cross-launch the CLI to execute commands for troubleshooting FIs, even when you are not connected to your corporate or VPN network. For more info, see Fabric Interconnect Actions.

How long does it take these features to make their way to the IMM PVA?

Any chance that the DC-MGT-IS-PERP-A license will ever be supported on the Cloud Intersight?

We are only using PVA because this is where this license type is supported.

Typically, features applicable to Private Virtual Appliance (PVA) will be available on PVA within the next calendar quarter of being made available on SaaS.

Amongst the features pushed on April 17th, MACsec and MKA feature is already supported on appliance with the version 1.1.2-0. The remaining are being planned with 1.1.3-0 release at the end of Q2 CY25.

Here’s the What’s New for PVA with more details on features pushed with 1.1.2-0 https://intersight.com/help/appliance/whats_new/private_appliance/2025
