Hello Everyone,
I use CML on Vmware esxi. I want to send rspan packets to external IDS via external connectors. But I couldn't be successful about that.
I configured the second bridge interface on CML and also configured this interface on VMware with vlan 4095. Also, I configured promiscuous mode on VMware. But I can't see any package on my IDS system.
On CML I disabled protected and snooped configuration and I entered this command "ip link set dev bridge1 type bridge vlan_filtering 0".
I send my rspan package with vlan 400 and 401. If I listen to the bridge1 interface on the CML console with tcpdump, I can see my rspan package but if I listen to the ens192 interface I can't see any package about rspan. I think I have a problem with passing these packages from the bridge interface to a real interface.
Has anyone tried a scenario similar to that before? Or do you have any idea about the problem?
Thank you!
