VMware Player 17 CML 2.6 IBM Lenovo ThinkPad X1-Intel VT not supported

Anyone have any success getting CML virtualization to work on an IBM ThinkPad X1. I've tried everything I could find in the posts including enabling in the BIOS, disabling HyperV, disabling core isolation, etc.

I continue to get the error "Virtualized Intel VT-x/EPT is not supported on this platform. Continue without virtualized Intel VT-x/EPT?

Any thoughts or suggestions?

@Eric Nyman are you using AMD model of X1? if so you cannot enable intel VT-x/EPT. try to run without that.

@Kasun Bandara Hi Kasun - Thank you but its the Intel model of the X1

@Eric Nyman in that case make sure VT enabled on BIOS settings.

Thank you! I’ve verified that it has also been enabled.

@Eric Nyman which software are you using to run the CML. ? is it vmware workstation? or player? there also under VM settings you can enable or disable this setting.

Hi Kasun - Still having the issue after following the steps in the document. I honestly think its something on the laptop that's locked down. I was able to get it running with no issue on Mac Air.
