Hi,
We are planning to install MX300 and SX20 in our environment. It says they support Cisco proximity. If we want to connect a laptop running on windows using WiFi , does that laptop need to connect to corporate network or MX300 generates its own WiFi so any local user can connect without connecting to corporate WiFi.

Santosh,
If your MX300/SX20 are registered on-premise (CUCM, EXP, or VCS) they will need IP access to the codec so your clients will need to be on the corporate network. They do not supply their own WLAN connections.
If you MX300/SX20 are cloud registered to Spark, then your clients only need access to the cloud and they can use the Spark application to share content.
Hope this helps,
Mike
